Where does the Weiningen vineyard walk start and finish?
It starts and ends at the Wanderparkplatz, so it is a loop. In between you pass the Grosser Weiher pond, the Werffeli family farm shop, Weingut Haug, a path near the horse statue, Im Hasennest, the climb up the vineyard, Haslernstrasse and the Winzerhaus.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
The route is about 4.1 km. Most players take around two and a half hours, including walking, listening to the stories and solving the puzzles, so plan on a relaxed half-day, especially if you linger at the farm shop or wine shop.
Is it free, and can we play as a group?
Yes, the quest is free to play. Friends or couples can walk it together on a phone, following the app from stop to stop and solving each puzzle as a group. There is no guide and no group to join.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause along the way?
No booking is needed. You can start whenever you like, and you can pause at any point, for example at the farm shop or the wine shop, and continue the route later from where you stopped.
Is the route outdoors, and what about rain?
The walk is outdoors, on paths through the vineyards and around the village, including a stretch up the vineyard slope. In wet weather wear shoes with good grip, and keep in mind that the views from the slopes are best on a clear day.
