Step into medieval Utrecht and experience it as if you are walking through it yourself. Together with adventurer Lilliana Jonas, you follow a trail through the city, along wharf cellars, city castles and hidden places you would normally pass by. 

What remains unseen to others becomes visible to you. Old stories come to life… and deep beneath the city something lurks that you would rather not encounter: a basilisk.

Families with older children who love an adventure story, and anyone curious about Utrecht's medieval past, can follow adventurer Lilliana Jonas past wharf cellars, city castles and Domplein, solving puzzles on the trail of a basilisk. It is free to play, about 2 km and takes around an hour and a half. If someone in your group struggles with uneven ground and changes in level, or you would rather ask a live guide questions, choose something else.

Yes, this quest is free to play. It runs on your phone, which leads you from place to place, tells the story of each spot and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. You can start any time, with no group to join and no guide.

It starts at Fullers and finishes at Drakenburg, so it does not return to the start. On the way you pass stops such as Gesloten Steen, De kleine Vleeschhal, the Great Medieval Barn, the Wharf Cellars, Loenersloot, Domplein and a hidden city castle.
