It starts at Subtile by Federico Díaz and finishes at the World Peace Rose Garden in State Capitol Park, so it does not return to the starting point. Along the way you pass Tower Bridge, the Crocker Art Museum, Lincoln Plaza, the California Museum, the Stanford Mansion, the Capitol, the Crest Theatre and a dive bar.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take around two hours, including walking and puzzles. The route covers about 4.1 km and has ten stops. You can pause at any point, for a coffee or a drink, and pick up where you left off later.
Can we play as a couple or a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone. There is no set time to book and no group to join: you start whenever you like, follow the route at your own pace and stop when you want.
Do we go inside the museums and other places?
No. The experience happens outside, and entering the places is not part of the game. You look at each building or spot from the street, hear its story in the app and solve a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
