Milan, 1499. The French army is approaching, and Leonardo da Vinci must leave the city he has called home for almost twenty years.
Before he can escape, help him recover his drawings, notes and inventions hidden across Milan. Follow Leonardo through the city he helped shape, solve puzzles along the way, and discover the artist, engineer and inventor behind one of history’s greatest minds.

Families with school-age children and first-time visitors help Leonardo da Vinci flee Milan in 1499, solving puzzles at places like Piazza del Duomo, Piazza Castello and Santa Maria delle Grazie. It is free to play and takes just over two hours. Pick something else if you want a live guide to ask about his art, or if your children are too young for 4.2 km on foot.

Walk from the Navigli to Santa Maria delle Grazie, passing Roman ruins, the Duomo, Piazza della Scala, Sforza Castle and Leonardo’s Vineyard. Solve observation puzzles and riddles while helping Leonardo prepare his escape from Milan in 1499.
