Where does the Golden Shamrock hunt start in Winnipeg?
It starts at Université de Saint-Boniface. From there the route stays in St. Boniface, with stops including St. Boniface City Hall, Saint Boniface Cathedral, La Belle Baguette, Fromagerie Bothwell, the St. Boniface Library, the water pad playground at Provencher Park and the St. Boniface Heritage Gardens.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to walk about 2.1 km and solve the puzzles along the way. You do not have to finish in one go: you can pause the game, take a break at a café or bakery on the route, and continue later.
Is this a self-guided tour?
Yes. There is no guide and no group to join. The app on your phone leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you, so you play entirely at your own pace.
