Where does the Freud walking tour in Vienna start and finish?
The walk starts at Berggasse 32 and finishes back there, so it forms a loop. Along the way it passes Palais Todesco, the Vienna State Opera, the Jewish Museum of Vienna, three historic cafés, the University of Vienna, the Votive Church and the Sigmund Freud Museum.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on about an hour and a half of walking and puzzle solving over roughly 3.5 km. You can pause and continue later, so there is time to stop for coffee at Café Central, Café Korb or Café Landtmann and pick up the route where you left off.
Do we need tickets for the Sigmund Freud Museum or other attractions?
No attraction tickets are required for the route. The stops, including the Sigmund Freud Museum, the Jewish Museum of Vienna and the State Opera, are visited from outside. If you want to go inside any of them, plan that as a separate visit.
Do we have to book a start time?
There is no set start time and no booking slot to choose. The route is open around the clock, but it works better in daylight, because the puzzles are built on what you can see in front of you at each stop.
Can our group play together?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest, and you follow the route together on your phones. There is no guide and no other group to join, so you set your own pace and take breaks when you like.
