Is there a scavenger hunt on Granville Island?
Yes. This self-guided hunt is played on your phone and covers 14 stops, from Anderson St past the Kids Market, Net Loft, Performer's Square, the Ferry Dock, The Giants and Basford Park to Micon. Each stop comes with a story about the island's industrial past and a puzzle to solve.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts on Anderson St and finishes at Micon. The route is a loop, so you end up back in the same part of the island where you began, with stops such as the Kids Market, the Motor Vessel Relief and The Crane along the way.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Players typically take about 100 minutes, so plan on close to two hours including walking and puzzles. The route covers 8.4 km, which is worth knowing if you are walking with children or anyone who tires easily.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples and families can follow the route and work through the puzzles side by side on the same game.
Do we need to book a start time, and can we pause?
