First-time visitors and pilgrims arriving at Praza do Obradoiro can walk the old town at their own pace, solving riddles at stops from San Martiño Pinario to the Mercado de Abastos and a viewpoint over the rooftops. Anyone who wants a live guide to answer questions about the cathedral and its history should book a guided tour instead.

Yes. This is a self-guided walk played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place through the old town, tells the story of each spot and sets a riddle based on what is in front of you. You can start any time, with no group to join and no guide.
Which places in Santiago de Compostela's old town does the walk cover?
In walking order: Praza do Obradoiro, Mosteiro de San Martiño Pinario, Praza das Praterias, Praza de Cervantes, Mercado de Abastos, the statue of King Alfonso II of Asturias, Arco de Mazarelos, the Church of Santa Maria Salome, As duas Marias, a viewpoint over the old town, Porta Faxeira and Dakar.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The route is a loop of about 2.7 km. It starts at Praza do Obradoiro and finishes at Dakar, back near where you began. Most players take around 2.5 hours including walking and riddles, more if you stop at the bars and restaurants along the way for tapas.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples or families can share a phone and solve the riddles as a team. There is no set start time to book, so you can begin whenever your group is ready.
Can we pause if it gets cold or we want a break?
Yes. You can pause the game and continue later. If the weather turns cold, you can step inside to warm up at almost any location on the route. No attraction tickets are needed for any of the stops, since the game is played outside in the streets and squares.
