Where does the Golden Gate Park escape quest start and finish?
It starts at the Cervantes Monument and finishes there too, so you end where you began. In between, the 3.9 km loop takes in ten stops, including the Japanese Tea Garden, the de Young Museum, the National AIDS Memorial Grove, the Rose Garden and the WWI Memorial.
How long does the walk take?
The route takes just over an hour at a steady walking pace. Allow more if you like to linger at the gardens and statues. You can pause at any point and continue later, so there is no need to finish in one go.
Can we play as a group on one ticket?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group. You play on your phones, following the trail of clues as fugitives who have just broken out of Alcatraz in 1962, solving puzzles set in what is in front of you at each stop.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no guide and no fixed group, so you can start whenever you arrive at the Cervantes Monument. If plans change partway through, pause the game and pick it up again later from where you stopped.
