Domande frequenti
Where does the Sacramento Christmas scavenger hunt start?
It starts at the Pony Express Statue. From there the app guides you along the route, which takes in the Site of Home of Newton Booth and the Central Pacific Railroad Passenger Station, among 12 locations where you solve puzzles and collect the Elements of Spirit.
What will we see in Sacramento on this walk?
The route links 12 locations, including the Pony Express Statue, the site of Newton Booth's home and the Central Pacific Railroad Passenger Station. At each stop the app tells you about the place and sets a puzzle or dare based on what is in front of you.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan for around 90 minutes and about 2 km of walking. There is no fixed pace, so you can pause partway, stop for a hot drink or a break, and continue later from where you left off.
Can we play as a family or an office team, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, so it suits families, visiting relatives and coworkers on a Christmas team outing. There is no guide and no time slot to book. You start whenever you like and play on your phones.
Is it outdoors, and what if it rains?
It is an outdoor walk through the city, so dress for the weather. Because you choose your own start time and can pause and continue later, you can wait out a shower or split the game across two outings.
