It is a self-guided walk and escape game played on your phone. You take the role of MI6 agent Sparrow during the German invasion of May 1940, helping the Dutch resistance and tracking down enemy agents by solving puzzles and following cryptic clues in the streets of central Rotterdam.
Does the route pass the Oude Haven and Schouwburgplein?
Yes. The Old Harbour is one of the stops, and the route finishes at Schouwburgplein. Along the way you also visit an Erasmus stop, the House of Spies, Nieuwe Delftse Poort, the Schaakstukken Museum and Rotterdam City Hall, with the app telling the story of each place.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at West-Kruiskade 484. The route covers about 2.5 km and nine stops, and most players need around 80 to 90 minutes. You can start whenever you like, and you can pause and carry on later if you want a coffee break.
