Per chi è
Groups of friends, couples and families with puzzle-minded older kids get escape-room teamwork outdoors: around 90 minutes of clues drawn from Baum's 1900 Oz novel, over 2.1 km of downtown Raleigh past Moore Square and Artspace. Oz fans can also play solo for the leaderboard. Anyone who wants a host in an indoor room, or cannot walk 2 km of city streets, should book elsewhere.

Qualche risposta prima di partire
Domande frequenti
Where does the escape game in Raleigh start?
The game starts in Downtown Raleigh and leads you on foot through about 2.1 km of the city center, with stops including Moore Square, Tupper Memorial Baptist Church, Artspace and the City of Raleigh Museum. The app guides you from each clue to the next location.
Is this an outdoor escape room?
Yes. It works like an escape room, with puzzles to crack as a team, but the puzzles are set in the streets and landmarks of downtown Raleigh rather than a locked room. You play on your phone and it is outdoors throughout, so dress for the weather.
Is it a scheduled event, or can we start any time?
It is not a scheduled event. There is no time slot to book: start whenever suits your group, play at your own pace for around 90 minutes, and pause to pick it up again later if you stop for food or a break.
Is the game based on Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz?
The story is inspired by L. Frank Baum's original 1900 novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. You join a team of misfits and try to outsmart the witch by solving puzzles, with original Oz-themed songs written for the game that you can also listen to at home.
Can we play as a family or group, and is it good for kids?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated. The puzzles suit older kids and teens who enjoy problem solving alongside adults, while younger children may tire over a 90-minute, 2.1 km walk. Solo players can compete on the leaderboard instead.
