Is there a game app for exploring Pisa on foot?
Yes. This is a self-guided walk played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place through the old centre and along the river, tells you about each spot and the famous Pisans linked to it, and sets easy puzzles based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Logge dei Banchi and finishes at the Leaning Tower (Torre di Pisa), so it does not return to the start. Along the way you pass Palazzo Gambacorti, Santa Maria della Spina, Piazza dei Cavalieri and the Botanical Garden, then the Cathedral and Baptistery just before the tower.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take about 2.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 3.4 km. Since you can pause at any point, it is easy to stretch it out with a coffee stop or extra time at places you want to explore further.
Can we play together as a couple or group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so a couple or a few friends can follow the route and solve the puzzles side by side. You start whenever you like, with no time slot to book. None of the stops require an entrance fee.

The game is played outdoors. You can pause at any time and go inside to warm up at almost any location on the route, including the cafés Caffè dell'Ussero and Bombolò, then carry on later from where you stopped.
