Where does the Greek mythology walk start and finish?
It starts at the USS Maine Monument and finishes at the New York Public Library, so it is not a loop. In between you pass Alwyn Court, Central Park South, the General Sherman Monument, the Pulitzer Fountain, St Thomas, Atlas and Prometheus at Rockefeller Center, the Fred French Building and Grand Central Terminal.
Does the walk include Grand Central Terminal, New York's famous train station?
Yes. Grand Central Terminal is the second-to-last stop, after the Fred French Building and just before the finish at the New York Public Library. As at every stop, the app tells the story of the place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about two hours to cover the 3.5 km route, walking and puzzles included. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a coffee break or a longer look inside a building will not cost you your progress.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged family friendly and suits children who enjoy Greek myths, audio stories and solving puzzles in what they see around them. Since it covers 3.5 km over about two hours, it works best for children old enough to walk that distance comfortably.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no time slot to book and no group to join: start whenever you like. The route is open 24/7, but it is better during daylight hours, when the monument details are easier to spot.
