L’esperienza
Informazioni su questa esperienza
Freewheel through the streets of Greenwich Village, following in the faded tracks of the artists who lived and performed here: Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, Edgar Allan Poe, Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane, George Carlin, and many more.
Solve clues to discover the places where poets drank and musicians made history. See where Dylan Thomas had his last drink, where Barbra Streisand first performed, and where Bob Dylan spent his earliest nights in New York City.
Fa per voi?
Per chi è
Music and literature lovers, couples and friends will trace Greenwich Village's folk clubs, jazz venues and poets' haunts, from the bar where Dylan Thomas had his last drink to Cafe Wha? and The Bitter End, solving clues over about 100 minutes. Anyone wanting a live guide to quiz about the folk era, or an evening club crawl rather than a 2.4 km daytime walk, should pick something else.

Domande frequenti
Where does the Greenwich Village music walk start and finish?
It starts at The White Horse Tavern and finishes at The Bitter End, so it is a one-way route rather than a loop. On the way you pass Electric Lady Studios, Washington Square Park, Edgar Allan Poe's house, Cafe Wha? and The Village Gate.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
Most players take around 100 minutes, so allow close to two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 2.4 km through Greenwich Village, and you can pause at any point and continue later.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples or a family can follow the route side by side and work on the clues at each stop as a team.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever suits you. The app leads you from place to place on your phone, tells the story of each stop and sets a puzzle there.
Is it better to do the walk during the day?
Yes, this route is best played during the day. The clues are set in what is in front of you at each stop, from Edna St Vincent Millay's house to the old music venues, so good daylight makes them easier to spot.
