Couples, friends and families who enjoy an odd mystery will search for a missing body along the Manzanares and Madrid Río, solving puzzles at 12 stops from the Bridge of Segovia to Príncipe Pío. Expect about an hour on foot over 5.3 km, best in daylight. If a bodiless-head story with a cemetery stop sounds too grim for small children, or 5.3 km is too far, pick something shorter.

You wake up dazed on a grassy hill in Madrid and discover you are just a head, with no body and no memory of your name. Following the app through parks and quieter corners of the city, you solve puzzles at each stop to find out who dumped you there and why.
Where does the quest start and where does it go?
It starts at the Statue of José Artigas. The route then takes in Tirso de Molina Market, the Bridge of Segovia, the Madrid letters, Príncipe Pío Station, the Royal Chapel of St. Anthony of La Florida and La Florida Cemetery, with the Monumento a Miguel Hernández as the last of 12 stops.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Plan on about an hour of play over a walk of 5.3 km. You can start whenever you like, pause partway and continue later, so it is easy to stop for a drink or a rest along the river without losing your progress.
Is it a good choice for kids?
It is recommended as a family activity, and the puzzles are designed to be solved together. The story is surreal rather than gory, though it centres on a missing body and passes a cemetery, so it suits children who enjoy a spooky twist and can comfortably walk 5.3 km.
