Where does the haunted Strand walk start and finish?
It starts at Temple Station and finishes at the Necropolis Railway, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass Somerset House, Waterloo Bridge, Cleopatra's Needle, Adelphi, Buckingham Street, the National Liberal Club, New Scotland Yard, Westminster Bridge and St Thomas'.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
Most players take a little over three hours, including walking and solving the puzzles at each stop. The route covers about 4 km, so wear comfortable shoes. You can pause at any point and carry on later if you want a break.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. The quest runs on your phone, so you can start whenever you like. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, and it is free to play. Just head to Temple Station and begin.
Can we play as a group of friends?
Yes. The quest is free to play, so friends, couples or a small group can walk the route together, read the story of each place and work out the puzzles as a team while following the supernatural case.
Can we stop partway and finish another day?
Yes. You can pause the quest whenever you like and continue later from where you left off. That helps on a route of a little over three hours, for example if you want to stop for food along the Strand or the Embankment.
