Fuengirola

The arch on Avenida de Mijas is a landmark on the road up out of Fuengirola towards the white villages inland. It marks the shift from the coastal town to the hills behind it.

Plaza de la Constitución is Fuengirola's main square, the open space the old town organises itself around and where its festivals and markets set up. The cafes around the edge make it the obvious place to stop and watch the town go by.

Fuengirola station is the end of the line on the Cercanías route that runs down the coast from Malaga and the airport, which makes it the arrival point for most visitors. The old town and the seafront are both a short walk from the platforms.
