Is this a guided tour of the National Arena stadium?
No. It is a self-guided walk played on your phone around the National Arena and its surroundings. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of Romania's great football moments and the area's history, and sets a puzzle at each place. There is no guide and no group to join.
How far do you walk around the arena and how long does it take?
The route covers about 1.8 km. Most players take around an hour, including the walking and the 11 challenges, each tied to what you see in front of you. You can go at your own pace, and pause and carry on later if you need to.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It begins at the stop called Start point and ends at Final goal, so it does not bring you back to where you started. In between you pass stops such as Tower of Sauron, Federation, August 23, CSM and FRF, with the app guiding you in walking order.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, it is tagged family friendly and is a family favourite. The puzzles are medium difficulty, so school-age children of about 8 and up who enjoy football will get the most out of it, while younger ones can join in with an adult helping on the trickier challenges.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is nothing to book. The quest is free to play, so friends or a family can start whenever suits them, on match day or any other day. You can pause along the way and pick up again later from where you stopped.
