At Manuc's Inn, a solitary traveler presses a worn journal into your hands. His ancestor? Vlad the Impaler, Prince of Wallachia, known to the world as Count Dracula. As you walk through the city's lamplit streets, decoding clues and following a centuries-old trail, the boundary between history and legend begins to dissolve. Could Dracula still walk among us?

Yes. This self-guided walk begins when a traveler descended from Vlad the Impaler, Prince of Wallachia, hands you a worn journal. You decode its clues on your phone as the route leads through the Old Town, Carol Park, Mitropoliei Hill, Domnița Bălașa Church and Saint Dumitru Church.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Manuc's Inn in Bucharest's Old Town and loops back there at the end, so you finish where you began. Along the way you pass places such as George Cantacuzino's Fountain, Cafe Antique, Adriatica and Hotel Concorde.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Plan on about an hour of playing time and a walk of 3.7 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so it is easy to stretch it out with a coffee stop or a longer look at the churches on the route.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated. There is no fixed start time and no guide to meet: you begin whenever you arrive at Manuc's Inn and play at your own pace.
Is it an outdoor walk, and what if it rains?
The route runs through city streets, Carol Park and up Mitropoliei Hill, so most of it is outdoors. Dress for the weather, and if rain sets in you can pause the game and pick it up again later from where you stopped.
