Domande frequenti
What does Kusadasi mean in English?
Kusadasi means "Bird's Island". Today it is neither an island nor home to the birds it once had, but every summer thousands of tourists arrive in their place. The walk tells stories like this at each stop as you explore the town's Byzantine and Ottoman past.
Which Ottoman sites in Kusadasi does the walk visit?
The route takes in the Okuz Mehmet Pasha Kervansaray (Caravanserai) and its north entrance, the Tile Fountain, the Inner Castle Mosque, the Marble Fountain and Ottoman Street. Along the way you also pass the Clock Tower, the Fish Market and the Micro Miniature Museum.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Güvercin Ada Fortress on Pigeon Island and finishes at the Hand Statue, so it does not return to the starting point. In between you follow the Sea Side Street, the Boulevard, Ottoman Street and the Statue of Ataturk, among 15 stops in total.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about 2 hours to cover the 3 km, puzzles included. You can start whenever suits you, with no time slot to book, and pause to continue later, which helps if you are working around a cruise ship's departure time. It is best done during the day.
Can we play as a family or group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone, and the quest is recommended for families and couples. Children who enjoy solving puzzles about what they see around them will get the most out of it, as long as they can manage a 3 km walk.
