Is this a guided ghost tour of Seoul?
No guide is involved. It is a self-guided walk played on your phone: the app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a riddle there. You start whenever you like, can pause and continue later, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together.
Is it a scary haunted house attraction?
No. It is a horror-themed walk through real historic sites in Seodaemun District, built around riddles and local history rather than scares. It suits people who like a spooky theme but want a relaxed outing instead of a fright attraction.
Which places in Seoul does the route visit?
In walking order: Donuimun Museum Village, Donuimun History Museum, Hall of Life History, Samgeori Barbershop, Heunghwamun, Gyeonghuigung Palace, the Palace Courtyard, Seoul Museum of History, the museum atrium and finally the Seoul City Model.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It is a loop of about 1 km that starts at Donuimun Museum Village and finishes at the Seoul City Model inside the Seoul Museum of History. Most players take around 90 minutes, including walking and solving the riddles.
When is the best time to play?
You need to enter the Donuimun Museum, which opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10AM to 7PM and is closed on Mondays. No attraction tickets are required. Mornings help you avoid the heat, weekdays during working hours mean smaller crowds, and a hat, sunscreen and water are recommended.
