Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Piazza Vittorio Emmanuele II and finishes at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass churches including Santa Maria della Spina, Piazza Dante Alighieri, Piazza delle Vettovaglie and Piazza dei Cavalieri, covering about 4 km.
How long does it take?
Most players take about two and a quarter hours, including the walking and the puzzles. It is best played during the day. You can also pause partway through and continue later if you want to stop for a coffee or a meal.
Can we play as a couple or a small group?
Yes. The story is written with couples in mind, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together on the same quest. You follow the route and solve the puzzles side by side on a phone.
Do we need to book a time or join a group?
No. You start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each stop and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
