Discover sunny places. Explore the wilderness of the Phi Phi islands. Here are our suggestions.

Phi Phi Islands

Phi Phi Islands, a group located on the coast of Thailand.

The islands gained notoriety after the filming of the British-American film The Beach, in 2000. The group of islands has become a popular destination for tourists, thanks to the scenery detached as if from paradise, with limestone mountains, cliffs covered with greenery, and long beaches with white sand, and turquoise water.

The archipelago is situated between the Phuket and Krabi regions, two popular tourist attractions in the Andaman Sea.

How do you get to the island?

There are ferry boat departures from Phuket or Krabi. They are organized daily, at various time intervals. Be aware, however, that there are no means of transportation on the island. Baggage will be carried by people waiting for you in the port.

Some people stay one day on these islands, but we think it's worth staying for at least two days because there are a lot of corners to explore and enjoy.

Monkey Beach

Monkey Beach is a famous beach for its many monkeys. Monkeys are generally peaceful but do not hesitate to retaliate if provoked. Plus, you'll be getting rid of clutter you don't need.

View Point

View Point is a must to do because the view is fascinating, and the route to get there is quite short, about 20 minutes by boat. It is well worth doing this route. Stop for a few shots, and then you can choose a terrace to enjoy a refreshing and refreshing drink. It is the perfect place from where you can admire the island, the water with shades of emerald, the boats parked on the waterfront, the blue sky, and the jungle.

Snorkeling & Diving

If you have an adventurous spirit and want something more dynamic, then you can go snorkeling and diving, and in the evening you can join a party on the beach. All the energy moves there. Party music and fakirs give dynamism to the island and keep it alive until dawn.

Long Beach

Long Beach is another option you have at hand if you want to admire an enchanting landscape. To reach this beach you can walk from the city center. The road you have to travel is rocky and involves a short walk through the jungle or you can go by boat, about 10 minutes. This beach is wild, so you don't have sunbeds. Throw in a towel and admire the ocean. It is a famous destination where you can see reef sharks.

A great option that gives you the chance to visit all parts of the archipelago is the boat tour that includes stops at Bamboo Island, Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, and Long Beach. The tour lasts about eight hours and takes you to all the beaches and you can go snorkeling in the middle of the sea life. The area costs about 1,000 baths.

Despite a 2004 tsunami that affected much of the inhabited areas of the Phi Phi Islands, the place has not lost its charm, and tourists continue to come to the little Thai paradise.
